Regional Staff

The Regional Staff consists of sixteen professional scouters, three professional-technical employees and eleven office support members. Four of the professionals are area directors who reside within the area assigned to them and work directly with councils. Their duties include bringing resources to their councils, both professional and volunteer. They monitor national standards insuring quality program delivery to the youth members.
The remaining staff is based at the Regional Service Center in Tempe, Arizona. This staff consists of:
- The Regional Director is the chief operating officer of the Region and works with key volunteers
- The Deputy Regional Director/Operations and the Assistant Regional Director/Operations serve as Area Directors for the Metro Group, and give leadership to field operations.
- The Assistant Regional Director/Support has direct responsibility for all area council services and support staff.
- The Regional Human Resources Director coordinates professional staff selection, performance and compensation standards.
- Associate Regional Directors serve functional support areas including administration, relationships, program communications, marketing, finance, endowment development, fiscal responsibility and systems.
- The professional-technical support positions include the regional office manager, human resources specialist and council administration specialist.
